Men's basketball team cruises to 10th straight win on Sophomore NIght
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team defeated Indian River State College on Wednesday night and then honored the four sophomores
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team cruised to their 10th straight win on Wednesday night at Titan Field House.
The Titans, who are now tied for second in the Citrus Conference at 11-3, defeated Indian River State College 99-75 on Sophomore Night.
After the win the Titans honored the four sophomores, two managers and cheerleaders and pep band members.
Eastern Florida State College took the lead on sophomore Joviel Acevedo-Arroyo's first 3-pointer as the Titans went on a 7-0 run to lead 11-6 but Indian River State College stayed close until the final eight minutes when the Titans once again went on a run to take an 11-point lead at halftime.
The Titans would extend the lead throughout the second half and would lead by as many as 25 points in the second half.
Sean Register Jr. led the Titans attack with 29 points and seven rebounds while Acevedo-Arroyo finished with 19 points. Nick Oliver had 12 points and Tyson Wilson had 11 in the victory.
Acevedo-Arroyo, Wilson, Misael Cruz Rodriguez and Eby Ogoh were all honored after the game.
Caleb River finished with 17 points for Indian River State College.
Eastern Florida State College will travel to St. Petersburg College on Saturday for a Citrus Conference game beginning at 4 p.m.
