Men's basketball team cruises in FSW Holiday Classic opener

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team cruised to their seventh win of the season Thursday at the FSW Holiday Classic in Fort Myers.
The Titans, who improved to 7-3 on the season, defeated Florida Coastal Prep 132-55 as Sean Register Jr. and Eby Ogoh each scored 27 points in the win.
Eastern Florida State College scored the first 13 points in the contest and held a 37-2 lead with 11 minutes left in the first half.
They led 69-27 at halftime and came out in the second half with a 19-0 run in the first five minutes on their way to an easy win.
Ogoh recorded his first double-double of the season as the redshirt-freshman had 14 rebounds to go with his 27 points. Both were season highs for Ogoh.
For Register, the 27 points was the fifth game in a row that the freshman has scored at least 24 points.
Jevon Yapi scored a season-high 16 points as did Joviel Acevedo-Arroyo while Lana Agbelese had 14 points and eight rebounds. Djiby Ly finished with 12 points, six assists and five rebounds.
Eastern Florida State College will play the Florida State College at Jacksonville at 5 p.m. Friday at Florida Southwestern State College.
