The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team lost to No. 5 Northwest Florida State College Saturday at the Florida College's Basketball Shootout in Tallahassee.
The Titans led for much of the first half but the Raiders went on a run in the beginning of the second half and picked up the 71-62 victory.
Down 5-0 to start the game, Djiby Ly hit a 3-pointer to tie the game 5-5 and then a 3-pointer by Joviel Acevedo-Arroyo would give the Titans a lead they would have the rest of the first half. They would lead by as much as 13 but headed to halftime up five, 38-33.
Freshman Sean Register Jr. scored 17 of his 28 points in the second half including a basket with 7:48 left to give the Titans a lead once again.
Tyson Wilson hit a 3-pointer to give Eastern Florida State College a 59-56 lead with seven minutes left.
From there the Raiders would outscore the Titans 15-4.
Register has scored at least 24 points in each of the past four games and has scored at least 17 in each of the first nine games.
Eastern Florida State College will travel to Fort Myers to play a couple of games at Florida Southwestern State College. The Titans will play Florida Coastal on Thursday and then the Florida State College at Jacksonville on Friday.
The Titans will host the Eastern Florida Classic on Dec. 15 and 16 at Titan Field House.
