The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team lost a tight game with host South Georgia Tech Saturday evening at the Sparky Reeves Classic.
The Titans, who fell to 6-2 on the season, had cut the lead to two points with under a minute left but South Georgia Tech would hang on for the 88-81 win.
The Jets took an eight-point lead into halftime and it reached as much as 12 early in the second half. But the Titans would chip away at that lead.
Sean Register Jr. scored 24 points to lead Eastern Florida State College while teammate Jevon Yapi had a season-high 16 points off the bench. Tyson Wilson had 15 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Jalexs Ewing led all scorers with 28 points for South Georgia Tech. The Jets evened the series after falling to the Titans at the Eastern Florida Classic.
Eastern Florida State College will take a break for the Thanksgiving break before heading to Tallahassee to face second-ranked Northwest Florida State College at 4 p.m. on Dec. 6.
