Baseball team goes 1-1 on first day of Panama City Beach Baseball Classic
The Eastern Florida State College baseball team picked up a walk-off win to end the first day of the Panama City Beach Baseball Classic

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team went 1-1 on the first day of the Panama City Beach Baseball Classic.
The Titans lost the first game to Chattahoochee Valley Community College but bounced back to win the second game 5-4 against Gulf Coast State College.
The Commodores tied the game in the top of the seventh inning and threatened to take the lead in the top of the eighth but Caleb Jones worked his way out of the jam with a strikeout and couple of fly outs to keep things tied 4-4.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Omir Santos fouled off a couple of good pitches and earned a walk to put two on. Hutson Guinn was hit by a pitch to load the bases and then Bryce Jackson walked to score Chris Carroll with the winning run.
Parker Trowbridge made his second start of the season and tossed four scoreless innings, allowing three hits and stuck out two. Jones picked up the win.
Jake Richardson had two hits in the game.
Chattahoochee Valley won the first game as the Titans cut the lead to 3-1 in the top of the fourth inning as Richie Collazo hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Jackson.
But Chattahoochee Valley scored six times in the bottom of the fourth inning and went on for the 9-1 win.
Eastern Florida State College will play two more games on Friday in the tournament, facing Chipola College at 11 a.m. and then faces Northwest Florida State College at 6:30 p.m.
