Women's cross country team places 31st in FSU XC Invite

The Eastern Florida State College women's cross country team had a solid finish at the FSU XC Invite in Tallahassee on Friday morning.
Running a 6K race for the first time this season, the Titans finished 31st overall at Apalachee Regional Park against some of the best NCAA Division I and Division II teams.
Sophomore Rori Pandolfini finished 225th overall, finishing the 6K race in 25 minutes, 37.9 seconds while teammate Malinda Underwood was right behind her, finishing in 236th place with a time of 25:53.1.
Aubrey Orcutt crossed in 27:23.1 and was 278th while teammates Ember Michaels finished in 28:27.7. Abigail Derisme (30:12.1), Kyla Grace Waymire (30:27.2) and Liz Morales (31:23.2) all finished close to each other in Tallahassee.
LSU won the invitational as they had runners finish 1-2 in the race. Edna Chepkemoi won the individual title with a time of 19:56,8 while teammate Abigail Chemnagei was right behind her at 19:59.3.
Eastern Florida State College will compete in the FGC Invitational on Oct. 10 at Alligator Park in Lake City, Florida.
