Women's volleyball team opens tourney in Utah Thursday

The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team will open the Crystall "Inn"vitational at Salt Lake Community College Thursday morning.
The Titans will play the host Salt Lake Community College at 11:30 a.m. in Utah and then will play the College of Southern Idaho at 6:30 p.m. EDT.
Eastern Florida State College comes into the tournament 4-1 on the season and is coming off a straight set win over St. Petersburg College in the home opener.
Freshmen Leyre Arroyo Sanchez and Jordyn Cox are both among the top five in the FCSAA in kills per set after five matches. Teammate Sophia Iglesias is second in the state in assists per set, averaging 7.35.
Salt Lake Community College is 3-1 on the season and have won three straight after falling to Butler Community College in five sets.
Then the Titans will have a rematch with the College of Southern Idaho in the second match of the day. Eastern Florida State College defeated CSI in four sets at the FSW Tournament last weekend.
On Friday the Titans will play Western Wyoming Community College at 11 a.m. rounding out the tournament against Western Nebraska Community College.
