Volleyball team tops USC Sumter, improves to 3-0
The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team defeated USC Sumter to remain unbeaten in a match at Daytona State College
The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team cruised to their third straight win this season, defeating USC Sumter Wednesday at Daytona State College.
The Titans, who are ranked 18th in the NJCAA Division I preseason poll, won the match 25-7, 25-14 and 25-14.
Eastern Florida State College has won all three matches in straight sets and are 3-0 for the second straight season.
Flavia Romanelli finished with eight kills while Bobbie Schwantz had seven and Emma Kiser and Sophia Knowles each had four kills. Paulina Dobrinova had eight digs and a couple of aces while Sarah Henault had six digs and three aces. Mariana Saba had 13 assists while Alana Baerga had seven and Juliana De Acharan finished with five.
The Titans will travel to Arizona to play in the Chapman Automotive AWC Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Eastern Florida State College will play the College of Southern Nevada and host Arizona Western on Friday and then No. 5 Salt Lake Community College and No. 13 Eastern Arizona College on Saturday.
