Three women's tennis players named to ITA NJCAA All-America teams
Eastern Florida State College women's tennis players Elena Martinez Prado, Emma Sanchez and Lucia Lucas are all named to the ITA NJCAA Division I All-America teams
Three Eastern Florida State College women's tennis players were named to the ITA NJCAA Division I All-American teams on Friday.
Elena Martinez Prado, a freshman from Sevilla, Spain reached the quarterfinals of the NJCAA Division I National Tournament and had a successful first season in singles. Martinez Prado is ranked seventh in the nation in singles and is one of the 10 named All-America.
Emma Sanchez and Lucia Lucas reached the semifinals of the NJCAA Division I National Tournament, falling to the No. 3 seed from Tyler Junior College. The duo reached the final in the Region 8 Championships and are ranked fourth overall in the latest ITA National Doubles rankings.
The Titans finished fifth in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
The criteria for ITA All-American recognition are finishing in the Top Ten of the final ITA National Singles Rankings and Top Five in the final ITA Doubles Rankings.
