Women's tennis team hosts St. Petersburg Thursday in Region 8 match

The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team will be back at Titan Tennis Center for a Region 8 match Thursday at 3 p.m.

The Titans, who are 0-2 in Region 8 matches, will host St. Petersburg College who is 1-1 in Region 8 play. St. Petersburg won the first meeting in a tight match.

Elena Martinez Prado, who was the Region 8 Player of the Week last week, comes into the matchup winning three straight singles matches. Emma Sanchez, Lucia Lucas and Maria Gento are also on winning streaks heading into the match.

Thursday's match is the first of three straight Region 8 matches as they wrap up the regular season and prepare for the FCSAA Region 8 State Tournament on April 19-20.
