Titans women's tennis team goes 2-1 over weekend
The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team finished the weekend 2-1
The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team had a busy weekend, going 2-1 to improve to 18-8 on the season.
The Titans started the weekend with an 8-1 victory over Florida State College at Jacksonville as they won all three doubles matches as well as the top five singles matches.
Josephine Karcher teamed up with Katharina Drebka in No. 1 doubles while Giulianna Hull and Brenda Aguilar won at No. 2 doubles and Jamie Duque and Valeria Arevalo won No. 3 doubles. Karcher, Drebka, Hull, Duque and Arevalo all won singles matches.
Then the Titans traveled to Tampa to play Hillsborough Community College and won a close match 5-4.
The team of Duque and Arevalo once again won their doubles match and Karcher, Drebka, Hull and Arevalo won singles matches.
On Sunday St. Petersburg came to Titan Tennis Center and defeated the Titans 7-2. Karcher and Arevalo picked up the two wins in singles.
Eastern Florida State College will host the Florida State College at Jacksonville at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Titan Tennis Center.
