The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team lost a big match to ASA Miami Friday afternoon at Titan Tennis Center.
Luisa Varon picked up the lone win for the Titans, defeating Yuliana Monroy 6-4, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. While ASA Miami won the rest of the matches, Filda Badi and Giulianna Hull both forced a third set tiebreaker.
Badi split the first two sets at No. 4 singles with Lisa Khamassi and the tiebreaker was a close battle that Khamassi clinched 12-10. Hull did the same thing at No. 5, falling to Siri Victorsson 11-9 in the tiebreaker.
The Titans are 9-5 on the season and will host Hillsborough Community College at noon on Saturday. It is the first of four straight home matches for the women's team this week.
