Titan women's tennis team wins two matches in Mississippi
The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team picked up two more wins in Mississippi
The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team defeated Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Hinds Community College Saturday in Mississippi.
The Titans opened the day with an 8-1 victory over Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, sweeping the doubles and winning five of the six singles matches.
Josephine Karcher and Katharina Drebka won the No. 1 doubles while Filda Badi and Armelle Cerdan won at No. 2 and Giulianna Hull and Jamie Duque picked up a win at No. 3 doubles.
Cerdan, Badi, Drebka, Hull and Duque all won their singles matches in straight sets.
Then the Titans defeated Hinds Community College 6-3 in the second match of the day.
Karcher and Drebka picked up a tough win at No. 1 doubles and Badi and Hull won the No. 2 doubles match.
Badi, Drebka, Hull and Duque all picked up straight set wins in singles matches to lock up the win.
The Titans, who are 9-4, will host ASA Miami at 11 a.m. Friday at the Titans Tennis Courts. Admission is free.
