Titan women's tennis team loses to St. Petersburg
The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team lost a road match against St. Petersburg on Friday
The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team lost a tight match with St Petersburg on Friday afternoon.
The Titans lost 5-4 to fall to 6-4 on the season.
The team of Giulianna Hull and Brenda Aguilar picked up the lone win in doubles, defeating Cassandra Perez and Monica Diaz at No. 3, 8-0.
Hull also won her singles match, batting back after losing her first set to Perez to win the No. 5 singles match 2-6, 6-1 and 6-4. Teammate Jamie Duque also came back to post a win after losing the first set, topping Diaz at No. 6 singles 4-6, 6-0, 6-3.
Katharina Drebka also posted a win at No. 4 singles, beating Anastasha Worlds 6-2, 6-1.
The women's tennis team will travel to Mississippi for a weekend of matches beginning Friday.
