Women's soccer team hosts Daytona State in conference match Monday
The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team will host Daytona State College Monday night in a Region 8 Conference game at 7 p.m.
The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team will host Daytona State College in a battle of top 10 teams Monday night at 7 p.m.
The Titans come into the matchup ranked eighth in the NJCAA Division I poll and are 6-2-1 on the season while Daytona State College is ranked fourth and is 12-0.
The Falcons are coming off a 2-1 victory against Polk State College, it is just the second time the team has allowed a goal. Emma Broch Laursen has started all 12 games in goal for Daytona State College and has posted four shutouts. Offensively, Arianna Kinsley has scored 11 times in 12 games.
Eastern Florida State College is coming off a 2-1 loss on the road to No. 6 Monroe Community College and have allowed just five goals all season. Morgan Gamin has scored seven times this season while teammate Nancy Almanza has five goals and six assists.
Monday night's game at Orlando Health Stadium will begin at 7 p.m. and admission is free. The game will be shown live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
