The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team shuts out Jacksonville College Sunday afternoon in Tyler, Texas.
The No. 3-ranked Titans picked up their fourth win of the season with the 5-0 win. It is the third shutout of the season for Eastern Florida State College.
Sophomore Samira Roper Morales got things started quickly for the Titans, scoring on a pass from Mia Lewis. It would be the first of three goals in the first half for the Titans.
Tiggi Gent scored her first goal of the season on a penalty kick and Kaley Vitaliano scored on an assist from Ana Alvarez Garcia.
Up 3-0 at halftime, the Titans would score two more times as Laura Di Mascio scored for the third straight game, this time on a penalty kick and sophomore Nancy Almanza scored on an assist from Mia Lewis and Lea Monteiro.
Eastern Florida State College will open the Region 8 Conference season Wednesday night at Orlando Health Stadium on the Melbourne campus. The Titans will host No. 5 Daytona State College at 7 p.m. and the game will be shown live on WEFS-TV.
