Arakawa, Limardo named to United Soccer Coaches All-America Team
Eastern Florida State College midfielders Kurumi Arakawa and Julieta Limardo were named to the All-America team Thursday
Eastern Florida State College women's soccer players Kurumi Arakawa and Julieta Limardo were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America team on Thursday.
Arakawa, a freshman midfielder from Oyama, Tochigi, Japan, started all 12 games for the Titans and was one of the leaders on the field. Arakawa scored in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament and was also named to the Region 8 first team.
Limardo, a sophomore midfielder, also started all 12 games and led the team in goals scored with 11. Limardo finishes her Titans career with 20 goals and six assists in two seasons and is going to the University of Louisiana-Lafayette in the fall.
Limardo was also named the Region 8 Player of the Year and to the NJCAA Division I all-tournament team.
This year's All-Americans will be recognized as part of the United Soccer Coaches College Awards Ceremony, which will be made available to view online as a digital event beginning June 30.
