Women's golf team tops Lake Sumter State College

The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team defeated Lake Sumter State College Friday in a one-round match at Green Valley Golf Club.

The Titans shot a 335 to pick up the win.

Freshman Blair Powers led the Titans with a 78, shooting a 39 on both the front and back nine. Teammate Margaux Blais shot an 81 while Ann Burel had an 87 and Vivian Luu finished with an 89.

"Strange course on a tough day and we struggled with it," Eastern Florida State College women's golf coach Jamie Howell said.

Eastern Florida State College will compete in the Flagler Fall Slam beginning on Monday.
