Five women's golfers named to WGCA All-American Scholar Team
Five members of the Eastern Florida State College women’s golf team were named to the 2024-25 WGCA All-American Scholar Team on Monday
Five members of the Eastern Florida State College women's golf team were named to the 2024-25 WGCA All-American Scholar Team on Monday.
Cayden Challacombe, Jenna Barnett, Brittany Odic, Mila Tang and Emma Parker were all recognized for their hard work both on and off the golf course this season.
The five players helped the program finish eighth overall in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Garden City, Kansas.
Freshman Mila Tang finished 12th overall at the national tournament and is a second team NJCAA Division I All-America team and finished with a 3.90 GPA in the classroom. Teammate Cayden Challacombe finished with a 4.0 GPA this season.
Jenna Barnett, Brittany Odic and Emma Parker all competed in the national tournament for the Titans and excelled in the classroom as Barnett finished with a 3.77 GPA, Odic had a 3.95 and Parker finished with a 3.87 GPA.
Overall 1,439 women's collegiate golfers from 403 programs were recognized. To make the WGCA All-Scholar Team, student athletes need a GPA of 3.50 or higher and have played in 50 percent of the matches this season.
