The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team moved up to fourth place after two rounds at the NJCAA Division I National Tournament at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, Kansas.
The Titans shot a 299 in the second round and are four strokes behind Daytona State College for third place in the tournament.
"We had better balance from the team today. Lighter winds helped the cause and we adjusted to the greens better," Eastern Florida State College women's golf coach Jamie Howell said.
Mila Tang finished with birdies on tow of the final three holes and shot 2-under on the front nine to finish the day even par 72. Tang is now tied for 10th overall in the tournament.
"Mila played well all day and little by little it is coming around for her and the team," Howell said.
Teammate Ann Burel shot 3-over 75 in the second round and is 8-over for the tournament and is tied for 17th overall. Brittany Odic also had a good round, shooting 3-over 75 to move up into 35th place overall. Odic was 1-over on the back nine.
Emma Parker shot a 77 and Jenna Barnett had a 79 as all five players are in the top 50 overall at the halfway point of the tournament.
The Titans will tee off for the third round beginning at 11:50 a.m.
