Women's golf team in third at Seminole State event
The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team is in third place after first day of the Seminole State Spring Break Invitational in Lake Mary
The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team shot a 326 in the first round of the Seminole State Spring Break Invitational Tuesday at Timacuan Golf Club in Lake Mary.
The Titans are in third place in the tournament behind leader and host Seminole State College and Keiser University.
Sophomore Elise Boccabella is in sixth place after shooting a 2-over 74 in the first round. Teammate Kira Shellman is tied for 16th overall with an 82. Valeria Fort is in 18th place with an 84 and Olivia Timpy is tied for 19th with an 86. Gabby Fernandez is in 23rd place.
"A good solid round by Elise," Eastern Florida State College women's golf coach Jamie Howell said. "We are still looking to play with better balance from the top to bottom of line up."
The Titans will tee off in the final round on Wednesday.
