Women's golf team in fourth place after two rounds at Innisbrook
The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team is in fourth place after the first two rounds of the Invite at Innisbrook
The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team is in fourth place after the first two rounds of the 2020 Invite at Innisbrook at Palm Harbor.
The sophomore duo of Elise Boccabella and Delia Timpy finished tied for 12th after the first two rounds while freshman Kira Shellman is tied for 19th overall. Freshmen Olivia Timpy and Gabrielle Fernandez are 21st and 22nd respectively heading into Tuesday's final round.
The women's golf team shot a 329 in the first round and 332 in the second round. Host Dalton State is leading the event after shooting a 613 on the first day. Southeastern University and Keiser University are sitting in second and third place.
"The lack of tournament play showed in everyone and we just need to get some more rounds in and continue to improve," Eastern Florida State College women's golf coach Jamie Howell said.
