Four women's basketball players named to All-Conference teams
The Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team had four players named to the All-Citrus Conference team on Friday as Milica Lazarevic and Bruna DaSilva were named to the first team while Ofir Parpara and Shadia Lara Santacruz both were named to the second team
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team had four players named to the All-Citrus Conference team on Friday.
Milica Lazarevic and Bruna DaSilva were named to the first team while Ofir Parpara and Shadia Lara Santacruz both were named to the second team.
Lazarevic played in 20 games this season for the Titans and averaged 16 points and six rebounds. The freshman guard from Belgrade, Serbia scored in double figures 15 times this season and had seven 20-plus games.
DaSilva started 26 of the 27 games she played in this season. The sophomore guard from Sao Paulo, Brazil averaged 13.3 points and 3.7 rebounds this season. DaSilva had 18 games in which she scored in double figures and had 20-plus four times with a season high of 31.
Parpara started all 30 games this season for the Titans and the sophomore guard from Kfar Saba, Israel averaged 11.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. She stepped up her game as the season progressed, scoring in double figures in seven of the final eight games and 17 times this season.
Santacruz started 20 games this season but also came off the bench and was productive for the Titans. The sophomore guard from Quito, Ecuador averaged 9.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game this season and her 68 steals was second in the FCSAA.
Eastern Florida State College is the No. 8 seed in the FCSAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship. The Titans will face Northwest Florida State College on Thursday, March 12 at 6 p.m. in the quarterfinals.
