Women's basketball team hits road for conference game Wednesday

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will travel to Daytona State College for a Citrus Conference game on Wednesday.
The Titans come into the final week of the regular season one game out of fourth place in the conference and are coming off a big win against fourth-place Hillsborough Community College last Saturday.
The Titans will finish the regular season on Saturday at St. Petersburg College.
Daytona State College is leading the conference standings and have won four straight games. One of their two losses was to the Titans in the last meeting, 81-72. The teams have split the first two meetings this season with Daytona State College winning the first meeting 68-55.
Milica Lazarevic missed the first meeting and led the Titans in the second game, scoring 29 points and grabbing six rebounds in the win. For the season, Lazarevic is averaging 16.4 points per game. Teammate Shadia Lara Santacruz is third in the state in steals this season with 63 while Angela Mirkovic continues to be among the top five in blocked shots with 33.
Daytona State College's Lamiyah Hogans has had 19 and 20 points in each of the first two meetings and leads the team, averaging 13.6 points per game. Teammate Catalina Roco has also had good games in each of the first two meetings off the bench, averaging 14.5 points vs the Titans. For the season Roco is averaging 11.6 points.
Wednesday night's conference game will begin at 5 p.m. at Daytona State College. Admission is $6 per person.
