Women's basketball team hits road for conference game

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will head to Hillsborough Community College for a Citrus Conference game on Saturday.
The Titans are tied for fifth in the conference standings and a win on Saturday would give them the series win against the Hawks.
The teams have split the first two meetings as Hillsborough won the first meeting 62-55 but the Titans picked up the 58-53 win on Jan. 17. Shadia Lara Santacruz had a double-double in that meeting with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Hillsborough comes into Saturday's game 6-8 in the conference and has won their past two games and are 6-6 at home. Malayna Stevenson and Danika Ballard are each averaging 13 points against the Titans this season while Danika Ballard is averaging 10.5 points. Stevenson is averaging 16.9 points per game this season which is fourth in the FCSAA and is shooting 84 percent from the floor which is third in the state.
Angela Mirkovic is averaging 12.5 points per game against Hillsborough and comes into the matchup fourth in the state in blocked shots with 33. Milica Lazarevic is leading the Titans in scoring this season, averaging 16.4 points and is averaging 10.5 points against the Hawks.
