Women's basketball team defeats Santa Fe for conference win

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team picked up a Citrus Conference win and are now tied for fourth in the conference standings.
The Titans used a big third quarter to pull away for a 75-55 win against Santa Fe College Wednesday night at Titan Field House.
Eastern Florida State College finished the first quarter on a 7-2 run to lead by one, 14-13 heading into the second quarter. The run continued into the second quarter as the Titans would lead by six on a Queen Powell basket. The Titans would head into halftime with a 32-26 lead.
The third quarter saw the Titans score 24 points as Grace Strickland and Ofir Parpara each had six points in the quarter as the Titans led 56-37 heading to the fourth quarter.
Milica Lazarevic finished with a team-high 21 points while Parpara had 18 points and nine rebounds in the win.
Aniyah Anderson led Santa Fe College with a season-tying 21 points while teammate Zion McRae finished with 16.
The Titans are tied with Hillsborough Community College at 5-8 on the season. They will host second-place Florida Southwestern State College on Saturday afternoon. They will be home for the final time this season and will honor the sophomore class before the game and it is Play4Kay day at Titan Field House. It will also be the final Alumni, Friends and Fans Day. Tip-off if 2 p.m. and admission is free.
