Women's basketball team loses conference game on the road

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team couldn't keep up with Miami Dade College in a high-scoring conference game on Saturday.
The Titans, who fell to 4-8 in the Citrus Conference, lost 91-79 on the road.
Trailing by five at halftime, Eastern Florida State College's Milica Lazarevic made a layup and then a 3-point shot to tie the game 34-34. Miami Dade responded with a 9-0 run and would lead by as many as 14 points before cutting it back four heading to the fourth quarter.
A Shadia Lara Santacruz layup once again cut the lead to one at 65-64 with 8:36 left in the game. Miami Dade would score seven straight points and went on to post the victory.
Lazarevic finished with 23 points while Ofir Parpara had 13 and Santacruz had 12 points off the bench for the Titans.
Jazmyne Bynum led all scorers with 37 points for the Sharks as all five scorers had at least 10 points in the win. Riana Callihan had 18 points and 11 rebounds while Meredith Venner had 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Eastern Florida State College will be back home on Wednesday night for a Citrus Conference game with Santa Fe College. The game will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Titan Field House and admission is free. Fans can also watch the game live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
