The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team defeated St. Petersburg College in a Citrus Conference game on WEFS-TV.
The Titans, who improved to 3-6 in the conference standings, won the battle of Titans 78-58 at Titan Field House on Wednesday night.
Ofir Parpara and Angela Mirkovic each hit 3-pointers and Milica Lazarevic had a basket and was fouled for a three-point play to give Eastern Florida State College a 9-2 lead. St. Petersburg College cut the lead to three by the end of the first quarter.
Lazarevic scored seven of the nine points in an 11-2 finish before halftime as the Titans held a 42-28 lead at halftime.
Up 18 after three quarters, St. Petersburg College went on a run behind Trinidy Harris who made a couple of big 3-pointers. The lead was cut to eight points on another Harris basket. But the Titans would go on one last run and go on to pick up the victory.
Kali Harris led St. Petersburg College with 14 points while Trinidy Harris finished with 13.
Lazarevic finished with 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Parpara had 17 points and Grace Strickland recorded 11 assists.
Eastern Florida State College will be back at home on Saturday afternoon for a conference game against Florida Southwestern State College. Saturday's game will begin at 2 p.m. and admission is free for games at Titan Field House.
