Women's basketball team hits road for conference game

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will hit the road on Wednesday for a Citrus Conference game at Santa Fe College.

The Titans will take on the Saints Wednesday night in the final conference game before the holiday break.

It will be a matchup of a couple of strong defenses as both teams hold opponents to under 62 points per game.

Eastern Florida State College is looking for its first conference win after falling short against Hillsborough Community College last week in the conference opener. Santa Fe is 0-2 so far in the conference.

Bruna DaSilva is averaging 11.5 points this season and Angela Mirkovic is averaging 10.6 points and 5.5 rebounds this season. Mirkovic is fourth in the state in blocked shots with 14.

Santa Fe is led by Trinidy Harris who is averaging 12.3 points this season but averaging 16 points in the two conference games.

Wednesday night's game will tip off at 5 p.m. at Santa Fe College and admission is $5. Fans can watch the game live online at the Santa Fe hudl page.
