Women's basketball team improves to 6-0 with win at PSC Classic
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team defeated Tallahassee State College on the first day of the PSC Classic Friday afternoon
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team remained unbeaten with a win Friday at the PSC Classic in Pensacola.
The Titans, who are now 6-0 and ranked 19th in the nation, used a big third quarter to defeat Tallahassee State College 64-45.
The Titans led from the start, jumping out to an 8-0 run and led by four after the first quarter and seven at halftime.
But they would outscore Tallahassee 16-4 in the third quarter and cruise to their sixth straight win to open the season.
Karen Nimo continued her strong play, leading the Titans with 20 points, five rebounds and a steal while teammate Jalei O'Neal scored a season-high 16 points, grabbing four rebounds and four steals in the win.
Eastern Florida State College will play the host Pensacola State College on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
