Women's basketball team hosts FSW in conference game Thursday
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will play Florida Southwestern in a conference game Thursday at Titan Field House
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will host Florida Southwestern in a Citrus Conference matchup Thursday at Titan Field House.
The 15th ranked Titans come into the contest 10-0 in the conference and have won 14 straight games. Florida Southwestern is 5-3 in the conference standings and is 7-3 in the past 10 games.
Eastern Florida State College sophomore Amelia Hassett is averaging 19.3 points and 13.3 rebounds and has 16 double-doubles this season. The 13.3 rebounds is leading Region 8 and is fifth in the nation while the 19.3 points is second in the state. Teammate Jaidyn Koerdt is averaging 10.7 points while Kristiana Kulackovska is averaging 9.4 points.
Florida Southwestern has a trio of players averaging at least 11 points per game led by Makenna Shaffer who averages 13.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Teammates Ashley Lester and Kiana Wilson are averaging 12 and 11 points respectively.
