Mputu named the NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Eastern Florida State College women's basketball player L'or Eyeba Mputu was named the NJCAA Division I Player of the Week on Wednesday.

The sophomore from the Republic of the Congo helped the third-ranked Titans to a 2-0 record with a couple of big performances.

On Wednesday night the sophomore forward scored 23 points and nine rebounds and then had 32 points in 18 minutes, missing just two shots from the floor on Saturday.

Mputu is averaging 12.6 points and 7.5 rebounds this season.

It is the first time that Mputu has been named the NJCAA Division I player of the Week.
