Women's basketball team will play in Florida Southwestern Classic this weekend

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will hit the road to compete in the Florida Southwestern Classic this weekend in Ft. Myers.

The Titans are 2-0 this season and ranked No. 16 in the latest NJCAA Division I poll and will open the tournament on Saturday afternoon. Eastern Florida State College will play John A. Logan, who is 1-1 heading into the tournament, at 3 p.m. at Suncoast Arena.

Then on Sunday Eastern Florida State College will play undefeated and No. 6 College of Southern Idaho at 2 p.m.

Amelia Hassett leads the Titans offensive, averaging 13.5 points per game while Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu is averaging 10 points and 10 rebounds and L'or Eyeba Mputu is averaging nine points and 11 rebounds per game.
