Women's basketball team tops Palm Beach State
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team topped Palm Beach State College Monday in a non-conference game
The Eastern Florida women's basketball team outscored Palm Beach State 17-9 in the fourth quarter Monday night to record a 67-64 victory in Lake Worth.
The Titans won their second straight game to improve to 4-3 overall. Palm Beach fell to 2-6 overall.
Sophomore guard Stephanie Torres led the Titans with 17 points while redshirt freshman Natalia Beaumont added 13 points and five rebounds in the non-conference victory.
the Titans trailed 17-15 after one quarter, 39-36 at halftime and 55-50 after three before dominating the final 10 minutes.
The Titans return to Central Conference action Wednesday hosting Hillsborough Community College at 5 p.m. at the Titan Field House on the Melbourne Campus.
The Titans are 1-1 in the conference. Hillsborough is 4-2 overall and 1-1 in conference.
Attendance at the game is limited to the first 75 fans. Admission is free.
