Women's basketball team falls to Gulf Coast State College

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team fell to Gulf Coast State College at the South Georgia Tech Classic Saturday night in Americus, Georgia.

The Titans got off to a good start, leading the ninth-ranked Commodores 21-17 and trailed by three points at halftime. But Gulf Coast State College had a big fourth quarter to pull away for the 74-53 victory and improve to 10-1 on the season.

Freshman Skye Williams led the Titans with 17 points while teammate Tynasia Bunting finished with 13 points.

Eastern Florida State College (9-6) will play Georgia Highlands at 4 p.m. Sunday in the tournament. The game will be shown live online at www.jockjive.com/sgtcjets.html.
