The Eastern Florida State College softball team fell in the FCSAA Division I Softball Championship semifinals on Thursday night in Clearwater.
The Titans lost to No. 1 seed Florida Southwestern 9-1 in five innings at Eddie C. Moore Complex. Eastern Florida State College will be back in action Friday afternoon, playing Miami Dade College in a B bracket game at 1 p.m.
The Bucs opened the scoring in the bottom of the third, scoring three times as Noelani Livingstone had the big hit, scoring two runs.
Eastern Florida State College struck back as Madison Velazquez hit an RBI double to make it 3-1.
But Florida Southwestern would score four times in the bottom of the fourth and end the game with two in the fifth.
Eastern Florida State College will look to stay alive in the tournament, facing Miami Dade College who picked up a win against Chipola College on Thursday. The Titans are 3-1 this season against the Sharks during the regular season.
