Softball team opens FCSAA D1 Championships with Indian River State College
The Eastern Florida State College softball team will open the FCSAA D1 Softball Championships against Indian River State College in a battle of top 12 teams in the nation at 7 p.m. at the Eddie C. Moore complex in Clearwater.

The Titans will play Indian River State College in a battle of top 12 teams in the nation at 7 p.m. at the Eddie C. Moore complex in Clearwater.
Indian River State College won all four meetings this season and are ranked No. 12 in the final NJCAA Division I National Poll.
Eastern Florida State College comes into the tournament with one of the top offenses in the state as the team is hitting .383 on the season and has scored 474 runs. Both are second in the FCSAA. The Titans are ranked No. 11 in the national poll.
Indian River State College leads the FCSAA in stolen bases with 215 as both Anaise Piar and Braylee Shields have over 40 stolen bases for The River.
On the mound, Emma Eekhoff is 16-5 with a 1.32 ERA and has struck out 198 hitters in 148 1/3 innings. She has recorded 12 complete games.
Both teams are among the top four in team ERA as Indian River heads into the postseason with a 1.76 ERA and the Titans have a 2.26 ERA.
Avery Velazquez is 9-5 this season with a 1.43 ERA while Isabella Rosales is 14-2 with a 1.95 ERA.
