Softball team sweeps FSC-Jacksonville Tuesday
The Eastern Florida State College softball team picked up a couple of more wins on Tuesday afternoon at Titan Softball Complex

The Eastern Florida State College softball team picked up a couple of more wins on Tuesday afternoon at Titan Softball Complex.
The Titans improved to 11-1 on the season with the 8-0 and 3-2 victories against the Florida State College at Jacksonville.
In the first game, Isabella Rosales tossed a no-hitter over five innings as the freshman allowed a walk to start the game and then retired the next 14 in a row before her error allowed Riley Page to reach base. She got the next hitter out to lock up the win 8-0 in five innings.
The Titans took a 1-0 lead in the second inning as Annalyn Duncan led off with a single and after Kerissa Howell walked, Jaelynne Whipple laid down a sacrifice bunt. Duncan would score on Emma George's groundout.
An RBI single from Madison Velazquez and then an RBI double from Duncan made it 3-0 in the third inning.
Four doubles and a triple in the fifth inning led to five runs as the Titans would end the game when Brooklyn Scott reached on a fielder's choice, scoring Whipple after she had tripled.
Duncan went 3-for-3 with two doubles while Madison Velazquez drove in a couple runs and went 2-for-3. It was win number seven for Rosales on the season.
In the second game, Aliyah Lai pitched a complete game and the Titans came through in the fifth inning to break a 2-2 tie.
Aracelis Jimenez led off with a single and Isabel Otero recorded a sacrifice bunt. Jimenez would score on Avery Velazquez single to give the Titans a 3-2 lead.
Eastern Florida State College jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning as Otero singled and then Avery Velazquez was hit by a pitch.
Jessica Merk hit an RBI single and then Madison Velazquez singled to load the bases for Duncan. The second baseman hit a fly ball to left field, scoring Avery Velazquez and it was 2-0.
The Florida State College at Jacksonville had four straight singles in the second inning to score twice.
Eastern Florida State College will travel to Orlando to play in the Courtney Miller Invite on Friday. The Titans will play Pensacola State College and then Tallahassee State College in the tournament.
