Softball team hosts Pasco-Hernando Wednesday

The Eastern Florida State College softball team will be back at Titan Softball Complex on Wednesday afternoon for a doubleheader with Pasco-Hernando State College.

The Titans come into the 1 p.m. doubleheader 4-0 on the season and have score 41 runs in those four games. On Wednesday they will host Pasco-Hernando State College who are 0-2 both losses coming in extra innings.

A couple of sophomores got off to big starts this season as Aracelis Jimenez went 9-for-11 with seven runs scored while teammate Jessica Merk hit three home runs with 10 RBI and is hitting .417 this season.

The team is hitting .416 as a team after four games.

Pasco-Hernando is also averaging 10 runs per game in the two games they have played this season led by Jordan Merola who has multi-hit games in both games and is hitting .625.

Wednesday's doubleheader will begin at 1 p.m. at Titan Softball Complex and admission is free. Fans can also watch the games live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
