Ttians Score Softball Sweep

Eastern Florida improved its softball record to 8-14 on Friday with a home field sweep of St. Cloud Technical and Community College on the Palm Bay Campus.

The victories were by scores of 9-0 and 11-3. The games were the season openers for NJCAA Division III St. Cloud.

Alexia Snyder struck out 12 batters en route to the first game victory. Taylor Zitiello went 3-for-4 with five runs batted in. Karli Smith, Hannah Roberts and Rosie Lyard all hit doubles.

Snyder also got the win in the second game, collecting eight strikeouts. Smith went 2-for-3 with three RBIs on a double. Sarah Hart and Lyard also doubled. Mckenzie Soughers went 2-for-3.

The Titans return to action on Sunday when they visit Miami Dade College in Kendall for their FCSAA Southern Conference opener. Miami Dade is 11-11.
