Men's cross country team places 22nd in NJCAA Half Marathon National Championships
The Eastern Florida State College men’s cross country team finished 22nd overall at the NJCAA National Half Marathon Championships in Fort Dodge, Iowa
The Eastern Florida State College men's cross country team finished 22nd overall at the NJCAA National Half Marathon Championships in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
The Titans once again ran in cold conditions in Iowa, this time a 13.1 mile race.
Freshman Jaiden McKee wrapped up his first season with the Titans by finishing 78th overall in the race. After starting the race back in the pack, he made his move up through the field throughout the race. McKee finished in one hour, 16 minutes and 3.6 seconds.
Joshua Marrero Torres would finish 105th overall, crossing the finish line in 1:18:30.1 while teammate Wyatt Pittman was right behind him, finishing in 1:18:38.3.
Morgan Vici finished 124th overall with a time of 1:20:05.3 while Noah McMann was 142nd in 1:21:24.2. Toby Grissom finished in 1:25:29.9 while Brandon Faris ran the race in 1:26:05.2 and Michael Quint finished in 1:35:03.6.
Iowa Western Community College won the team event with Iowa Central Community College finishing second and New Mexico Junior College third.
Iowa Western's duo if Barnabas Ndiwa and Geofrey Ronoh finished together for first and second overall.
