The Eastern Florida State College men's cross country team is prepared to run in their second event of the fall on Friday morning.
The Titans will run in the FSU XC Invite at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee with the 8K race beginning at 7:40 a.m.
"I am hoping that we perform a lot better on Friday then we did in Huntsville," Eastern Florida State College men's cross country coach Doug Butler said. "There will be a lot of Florida JUCO teams there and we have to get out of our own heads and race like we are capable."
Eastern Florida State College will be one of 36 teams competing including some of the top teams in NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NAIA and Junior College.
Freshman Jaiden McKee led the Titans in the first race of the season in Huntsville, Alabama with Wyatt Pittman and Morgan Vici behind him.
"The pack has gotten a lot better in training, the pack ran really well together in practice this week and that is really the big thing is to learn to work together and not string together," Butler said.
Friday's race will be the second of three regular season meets before the postseason begins.
