Men's cross country team places 10th at NJCAA Half Marathon National Tournament

The Eastern Florida State College men's cross country team placed 10^th overall in the NJCAA Men's Half Marathon National Championships at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama on Tuesday.

Sophomore Dayton Law led the Titans, finishing 19^th overall with a time of one hour, 10 minutes and 56.7 seconds in his first half marathon.

Teammate Simon Devoss placed 50^th overall with a time of 1:15:50.5 while Gabriel Garcia finished in 1:19.05.1 which was good for 75^th.

Trevor Cross finished in 1:20:29.2 for 84^th while Anthony Bergnes was just behind him in 87^th finishing in 1:21:17.3.

Matt Weiler finished in 1:23:32.7 while Carter Vigneri crossed in 1:23:55.7 and Chase Hill in 1:25:40.1 .

"The boys ran really well today, for Dayton that is a phenomenal first marathon time, could not be happier. They all ran really well today," Eastern Florida State College men's cross country coach Doug Butler said. "It justifies us staying, it is a good finish and now they are ready for a break."

The cross country team placed 17th in the Cross Country Championships last Friday and completed their season with this 10th place finish.
