Men's tennis team set for ITA Regionals in Alabama

The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team will begin the ITA JUCO Southeast Regional Championship on Friday in Jasper, Alabama.
The Titans, who bring back a solid group from the team that finished sixth in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament last season, have five players with byes in the first round.
Fernando Martinez is the top seed for the tournament while sophomore Pablo Garcia is the No. 2 seed. Zach Achour is the No. 3 seed and will have a bye in the first round as will No. 5 seed Filip Sormaz and No. 6 seed Johan Mottlau.
Freshman Marko Miljanic will play Bevil State Community College's Ilian Delalande and sophomore Tomas Kurz will face Coastal Alabama's Julien Cordeau on Friday morning.
In doubles the duo of Filip Sormaz and Marko Miljanovic are the No. 1 seed and have a bye in the first round.
Pablo Garcia and Zach Achour are the No. 2 seed in doubles and also receive a bye in the first round.
The team of Fernando Martinez Belinchon and Ignacio Sendra will open the tournament on Friday afternoon against Gadsden State Community College's Luke Tanner and Luke Russo.
Tomas Kurz and Johan Mottlau will team up on Friday afternoon in the first round against Coastal Alabama's David Gimenez and Alvaro Velasco.
The winners of the ITA Regionals will advance to the ITA Cup October 16-19 at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga.
