Men's tennis team defeats Harford Community College

The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team picked up a win against Harford Community College Friday morning in South Carolina.
The Titans defeated Harford 8-1 to improve to 5-0 overall.
Eastern Florida State College won two of the three doubles matches to take the lead and then swept the singles to take the first win of a busy weekend of matches.
Filip Sormaz and Salva Mulet teamed up to win 8-3 at no. 1 doubles while the duo of Alexandr Achour and Konstantin Kukaras won 8-5.
Up 2-1, the team took the court for the singles matches and picked up wins all the way down the lineup.
Achour had a battle at No. 1 singles, winning in a third set tiebreaker. Achour lost the first set against Tristan Duval but came back in the second set with a 6-2 win to force a third set tiebreaker. It was a tight tiebreaker with Achour picking up the 11-9 win.
Mulet won at No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-1, while Pablo Garcia Rodriguez won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles and Tomas Kurz Cardozo won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 4 singles. Johan Mottlau won at No. 5 singles and Sormaz won 6-2, 6-1 and No. 6 singles.
The team will take the court again tomorrow morning against host USC Sumter.
