Men's tennis team defeats Fordham University
The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team continued its strong play, defeating Fordham University Tuesday at Titan Tennis Center
The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team picked up a victory against Fordham University on Tuesday afternoon at Titan Tennis Center.
The Titans, who won their sixth straight, defeated Fordham University 7-0.
The sweep was the eighth sweep of the season for the Titans as all three of the doubles teams won 6-2. Hugo Car teamed with Konstantin Kukaras at No. 1 with the duo of Colin Tavares and Nick DeVivo won at No. 2 and Tomas Quesada Perez and Alexandr Achour were victorious at No. 3 doubles.
The teams then turned to singles matches as Car won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, DeVivo won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, Perez won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3. Achour won 6-0, 6-1 with Tavares and Kukaras also winning singles matches in straight sets.
The Titans are ranked third in the latest NJCAA Division I national poll and have qualified for the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Plano, Texas beginning May 13.
