Men's tennis team ready to compete at ITA Regionals
The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team is competing in the ITA Regionals this weekend in Tifton, Georgia
The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team will compete in the ITA Regionals in Tifton, Georgia this weekend.
A couple of freshmen begin the tournament with byes as Eric Tripathi is the No. 2 seed, Jett Leong is the No. 5 seed and also has a bye while Colin Tavares and Jack Dixon also have a bye.
Tripathi has a bye in the first round and will play the winner of Ethan Cuzzort and Benjamin Ranby-Al in the round of 32 at 1 p.m.
Leong will play the winner of the Santiago Castillo/Nathan Headrick match at 1 p.m. and Dixon will play the winner of Lethan Nguyen and Antoine Schaub at 11:45 a.m. Friday.
Enric Porcar will play Matthew Rodgers in the first round at 9:30 a.m. while George Myers Millington will play Arthur McCarthy at 8:30 a.m.
In doubles, Lucas Gonzalez and Dixon are the No. 1 seed and will have a bye in the first round. They will open the tournament at 4 p.m.
Porcar and Tavares are the No. 4 seed and also have a bye in the first round and will play Ryan Wang and Alexandre Jaulin at 4 p.m. The duo of Myers-Millington and Tripathi also have a bye in the first round and will play at 4 p.m. on Friday.
