Men's tennis team picks up win against Florida National
The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team defeated Florida National on the road Friday
The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team defeated Florida National University 7-0 on Friday afternoon.
The Titans, who are No. 4 in the latest Oracle/ITA NJCAA rankings, won every match in straight sets.
Dario Kmet and Ramiro Rincon teamed up for a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles, while Mikar Fisher and Sergio Gomez Boiz won 6-0 at No. 2 doubles and Tomas Reche and Bernardo Viera won 6-1 at No. 3 doubles.
Reche, Kmet, Rincon, Gomez and Vieira all picked up singles wins along with Luc Pasqual Camps who won at No. 5 singles 6-1, 6-0.
The Titans will compete in the Western Gate Tennis Invitational March 19-21, facing No. 23 Meridian Community College on Friday, then on Saturday they begin the day against No. 1 Tyler Junior College followed by No. 10 Wallace State in the afternoon. Then on Sunday, the Titans will wrap up the big weekend of tennis against No. 5 Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.
