Men's tennis team fares well at Sailfish Invitational
The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team had a good weekend at the Sailfish Men's Tennis Invitational
Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team fared well in the Sailfish Men's Tennis Invitational at Palm Beach Atlantic on Sunday.
Freshman Michel Louis-Nils placed second in the No. 1 Singles Flight, losing a tight match in the final to Barry University's Pierre Montrieul, 6-4, 4-6, 10-8. Teammate Adriel Azucey placed third in the same flight, defeating Barry University's Carlos Gomez.
Then Louis-Nils and Azucey teamed up to place second in the No. 2 Doubles Flight, losing to Palm Beach Atlantic's Philipp Hoffmann and Carlos Niemeyer 8-2.
Alwyn Mushonga placed fourth in the No. 2 Singles Flight, while Andreas Wejs placed fifth in No. 4 Singles Flight and Gabriel Robichaud was sixth in the No. 5 Singles Flight.
The Titans will travel to the Juan Varon Memorial Tournament in Daytona Beach Oct. 27-29.
