The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team played well on the first day of the Sailfish Men's Tennis Invitational at Palm Beach Atlantic
The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team fared well on the first day of the Sailfish Men's Tennis Invitational at Palm Beach Atlantic.
Both Adriel Azucey and Michel Louis-Nils each advanced to the quarterfinals of the No. 1 singles flight. Azucey defeated Lynn University's Florian Clemares 6-4, 6-2 while Louis-Nils beat Palm Beach Atlantic's Pato Zarazua 6-4, 3-6, 10-3 and faces Barry University's Carlos Gomez.
Alwyn Mushonga defeated Lynn's Renato van Veggel 6-1, 6-4 in No. 2 singles flight and will play Barry's Vivien Versier in the quarterfinals.
The duo of Louis-Nils and Azucey teamed up to win their first-round doubles match in No. 2 doubles flight and advance to the quarterfinals to face Barry's Flavo Matteoli and Daniel Ventura.
In the No. 3 doubles flight Milan Savic and Gabriel Robichaud won their first match 8-2.
The team of Mushonga and Andreas Wejs lost their first match in the No. 1 doubles flight.
The invitational continues on Sunday at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center.
